Hello how are you?
How has your week been?
Me? Well it is still all about the dog’s rehabilitation and I am home bound. However the 2 days this week I have been able to get out and walk to the library has been a grand adventure. And although I creaked and my body hurt, it was so good to be out in the sunshine and move!
What creative outlet are you involved in at the moment? I would love to know.
I sometimes think that my creative life is going around in circles. My problem is, I have just come to the realisation that I’m not good at anything. So when I try new ideas that bombard my head it takes me so loooooong to master one aspect. It drives me crazy. In the past I had always put it down to the fact that I couldn’t master anything was because I was time poor. I am definitely not time poor now so it was/ is a bitter pill to swallow.
Everything takes so long. I recently wrote a blog post about it, you can read it here;
I re design and play around with each patten till I am 100% happy with it. The problem being is that I’m never 100% happy with it. However I think that I am pretty close with my Love heart beanie and bootie set. What do you think?
If you are thinking about making something for yourself. I can recommend my Granny Square blanket Kit. This blanket keeps you warm as you make it - which is fabulous for this weather which is still so chilly.
What I am loving this week?
On TV; Too Much on Netflix. This is a little spicey so you don’t want to be watching this with kids about. But what I love, love, loved about this show was how the director/writer Leena Dunham is not afraid to literally show women (such as herself) who are real sized and have double chins!! I was surprised at the ending… but I won’t give too much away.
Book; The Teller of Small fortunes, by Julia Leong. This novel is a fantasy book which is a genre I don’t usually go for, but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It made me smile. I will definitely be checking out her next book when it is released later in the year.
Food; Museli and Yoghurt muffins, these were good. Although Imade some changes using vanilla yoghurt (instead of plain )and for me they are just too sweet. I was surprised my boy liked them, he said they are very dense. But for me they are lovely with a cup of coffee and keeps my tummy happy until lunch time.
I would love to know what you are loving this week. Just reply to this email. I love reading what you have been up to.
Have a great weekend and make sure you do something just for yourself,
Melissa.
