The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

My gosh, what a wonderful read.

You know when you read a book and it changes you somehow?

That.

When you open a book and immediately you settle in and you know that you are in for an epic adventure ?

That.

When you find yourself smiling as you read ?

That.

When you’re not reading but later you find yourself thinking about the story ?

That.

When you marvel at an author’s ability to imagine and then write a story line that is so intricate and unique?

That.

For me the book is about life and death. What you want from life and how you are willing to live your life until your death. What would you do to keep your soul happy? I’ve never really thought of that before. I just thought you lived your life and that was that.

You get what you get and you don’t get upset (Gosh I detest that phrase from my childcare life)

While reading the book I also listened to a podcast about life after death. It made me wonder if it is our souls that drive our life from birth. And of course the next obvious question, what happens to our souls when we do pass?

Once our body is no longer functioning, is it really the end? Surely a person who has lived a life, is that the end? What is it all for?

It is a fascinating concept, one that I continue to question and think about.

You can find the podcast here:

Anyhoo,

If you have read the book, I would love to know what you think.

Melissa
